Really nice small place to have a quick bite or coffee. Had a latte and a Fuul. Both were amazing. The Fuul will likely be spicy for most people, but if you like the kick or enjoy spice, do try it! I personally enjoyed the heat.

Incredible food and service. We got the veggie sampler, beef stew and chicken and not only was it plenty of food, it was delicious. I look forward to going back!

So glad I stumbled across this cafe! I am staying near U of M, and wanted a place where I could get breakfast and coffee, which Cafe Jote most definitely delivered on! I ordered the fuul and an iced latte, both of which were so good and well priced. The fuul (stewed fava beans topped with tomatoes, onions, peppers, & yogurt) especially was delicious and very filling--definitely would recommend trying! The ambiance of the cafe is really lovely as well--the interior is really bright with high ceilings and a few tables, and the outdoor patio was a great place to read and sip on my coffee. Finally, Jote himself was fantastic!! He was so sweet and made sure my food and drink were prepared to my liking. A must stop if you are in the area--there is a full espresso menu and many other foods that I'm sure are fantastic.

Their lentil stew reminds me of home! Its served with this crepe that reminds me a lot of dosa. The woman who works here is very compassionate and went above and beyond with her service, she very clearly cares about her customers. The coffee is really earthy in this nice way too! All perfectly warming on a cool winter afternoon like this. I can't wait to come back and try their fuul and chechebsa!

The food here is so, so good. And so is the coffee! They make espresso drinks really well, not burned at all. My only issue is that I can’t dine in here because they burn so much incense (it gives me a headache). So when I’m craving their delicious fuul, which unlike some other food here takes 20 minutes while they make it fresh, my decadent routine is to order it, then go down the hallway to Afro Deli and eat a sambusa while I wait.

Absolutely delicious! I knew it was going to be good when I walked in and it smelled fantastic. I got a latte and the dish that day was a version of scrambled eggs on a crepe/flatbread, I've genuinely never had more flavorful eggs and the crepe was very unique and complimented the eggs perfectly. The women behind the counter was very kind and attentive. I definitely want to come back another day and try some more food

Cafe Jote is small and cozy with a beautiful interior and a comfy outdoor dining area. Their coffee is good and strong. I had a latte. The customer service here is phenomenal and I felt very welcome. I would highly recommend Cafe Jote if you're looking for coffee in the West Bank area.

Only been living in Minneapolis for two months but this is my favorite cafe, perfect breakfast and lunch date! Lentil plate is savory and spongey, lentils are slow cooked and expertly spiced, service is attentive and kind. Wouldn't recommend for large groups as it's very cozy here! P.S. The coffee is mind-blowing
